A Brief Biography

I know you would not entrust your business or your wait staff to an unknown person, so this will give you an introduction to me, Cathy Bumbaugh.

I was born in Franklin County, PA and my husband and I live there today.

We have traveled widely in this country, as well as in South America and in Europe, experiencing the best - and the less satisfying - of restaurant food and service. Because we are interested in food and in regional cooking we have observed many interesting styles of cuisine and food service on our trips.

I have incorporated many of these observations, about what works - and what does not work - into my instruction plans. I continue to study and perfect my craft, and to expand my skills through travel, my employment and through extracurricular courses and instruction.

My own professional food service history includes a wide variety of local experience in this field, and, in my personal life, we continue to travel, and to prepare the regional dishes we have enjoyed elsewhere.
